To download a file click below: |
| 1. If you do not already have Remote Desktop Client
installed, download the msrdpcli.exe program |

| 2. Double click on the downloaded file to install the
Microsoft Remote Desktop client. |

| To configure the Remote Desktop Client to connect to
the ARCH web server do the following. Once these values have been
entered you can save them so you don't have to enter them every time. |
| 1. Click Start - Programs - Accessories- Communications
- Remote Desktop Connection. |
| 2. Click Options. |
| 3. For Computer, type arch.bumc.bu.edu |
4. For the User Name, type your
practice's user name, or
ARCHPediatrics for the demo version.

| 5. Type in the password |
| 6. For Domain type ARCHPROJECT |
| 7. Click the Save my password checkbox if you don't
want to enter the password each time you log in. |
| 8. To save the values you have entered click "Save
As" and enter a name for the connection. Ordinarily the default
name "Default.rdp" is fine. |

9. To set display size click the "Display" tab toward
the top of the window. Move the slider on "Remote desktop size"
and select a size of 800 x 600, or more if you want to use the full
monitor screen.

| 10. If you will be using the label printer from this
computer, select the "Local Resources" tab at the top of
the screen and check the "Serial Ports" checkbox. Make sure
the Printers box is checked if you will be using a regular printer,
for example for printing reports or letters. |
| 11. Click "Connect" at the
bottom of the screen to connect to arch.bumc.bu.edu |
